Covid-19: India logs new 830 cases, lowest single-day tally in over 6 month
According to data from the Union health ministry, India’s Covid-19 caseload increased to 4,46,45,768 on Wednesday with 830 new infections, the lowest daily increase in 197 days, while the number of active cases decreased to 21,607.
The figures updated at 8 am showed that one more fatality brought the total number of deaths from the viral illness to 5,28,981.
Of all infections, there are now 0.05% active cases. According to the government, the national Covid-19 recovery rate has climbed to 98.77%.
In the past 24 hours, there has been a 942 case decline in the active Covid-19 caseload.
According to the ministry, the weekly positivity rate was 1.05 percent and the daily positivity rate was 0.67 percent.
4,40,95,180 persons have recovered from Covid-19, and the case mortality rate was 1.18 percent, according to the report.
According to the ministry, the Covid-19 vaccine has been given out in 219.57 crore doses so far as part of the widespread immunisation campaign.
The number of participants in India’s Covid-19 has surpassed 20 lakh on August 7, 2020, 30 lakh on August 23, 40 lakh on September 5, and 50 lakh on September 16.
It exceeded the 60 lakh threshold on September 28, the 70 lakh threshold on October 11, the 80 lakh threshold on October 29, the 90 lakh threshold on November 20, and the 1 crore threshold on December 19.
On May 4, last year, three months later, and on January 25, this year, India reached the depressing milestone of two crore.
